About the Program
The OMPT fellowship/diploma Program is a clinical and research-based knowledge in Orthopedic Manipulative/Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT). The area of study in OMPT develops a specialty standard in orthopedic manipulative physical therapy clinical practice. It enables participants to explore on the theoretical basis of manipulative physical therapy and its application to the development of clinical reasoning towards advanced clinical practice.
- The objective is to advance scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning application, and clinical and research skills development with a broad appreciation of the concepts of clinical measurement and integrated evidence-based practice in OMPT practice.
- Successful completion of the program qualifies the trainee for fellow status (FPAOMPT) of the Philippine Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (PAOMPT) and Dip.AOMPT Credentials.


Message from the Program Director
Greetings and thank you for your interest in the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Specialist Group (OMPTSG) Diploma Program of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy! The clinical diploma (fellowship) training represents the highest level of formal clinical training available in orthopedic manual physical therapy profession. The three-year post-professional clinical training program in the subspecialty area of practice known as orthopedic manual physical therapy (OMPT) takes place in the Cebu and Manila venues along with virtual courses. Graduates are considered experts in the field of physical therapy. The trainees will undergo intensive mentorship with world class Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), resulting in a high-level of clinical reasoning and psychomotor skill in OMPT. Didactics will be taught by advanced clinicians who are Fellows of American OMPT Academy. Candidates who successfully complete all requirements will be inducted as a Fellow of PAOMPT (FPAOMPT) and the credentials Dip. AOMPT, a designation that represents advanced, specialized practice in the Philippines. Physical therapists with clinical fellowship training will be equipped with skills in clinical care, teaching, research, administration, and leadership.
